The main thing to be prepared for at the British Grand Prix is noise - modern Formula One cars are incredibly noisy - if you are sensitive to noise, we would recommend that you take some ear plugs with you.
The British Grand Prix is very popular, on race day there will be up to 200,000 people at Silverstone - that's a lot of people so be prepared for queues and for crowds - make sure you use the map below to arrange places to meet up with your friends and family in case you become separated.
Although there will be large screens to view the action away from where you are standing, it is worthwhile to take either a small portable television or a radio with you. The noise from the racing can make it very difficult to hear the public address system.
The weekend is expected to be very hot and sunny, so make sure you take your suncream and sunglasses.
If you do not have a grandstand seat, it's probably a good idea to take a blanket and folding chairs.
Once you have found a good vantage point, you wont want to leave your spot, so it is worth taking a cool box and/or a flask.
